As the youngest member (by far), I have spent three years growing with the group. Being a part of NAVE has improved my knowledge of music and my ability to learn. I have gained more experience than most people my age due to being a part of NAVE. From my first time learning the 40+ pieces in our repertoire to my first performance on stage with the group, I have noticed an enormous change in how I read, understand, and sing music. Singing in choir doesn’t mean learning the notes, watching the conductor, and blending in with the other sounds. It means to be able to connect with each person in the choir through sound, expressions, tones, and volume.

And, I will graduate from high school in June (2016). Check back to see if I can still sing with NAVE during college!!
