Krisen Baskewicz

Kristen Baskewicz, Soprano, has been singing with NAVE since its inception in October of 2012 and is absolutely thrilled to be a part of all their activities. Kristen met Dr. Sneed in 1999 when she decided to move from New York to attend school at the University of Alabama, Huntsville. Kristen has sung numerous concerts under Dr. Sneed’s direction and has travelled to Europe with her twice: first in 2001 on a four-country tour of Western Europe, and second, in 2008, to Bulgaria for the Varna International Conductor’s Workshop. In real life, Kristen is a K-6 elementary general and vocal music teacher in the Rochester City School District in Rochester, New York. On top of that, she spreads Christmas cheer every year as the music director of the Skaneateles Dickens Festival, an outdoor Victorian Era improvisational theater show in Skaneateles, New York. In addition to being the music director, Kristen also plays Lady Charlotte Scott and The Duchess of Buccleuch. In the summers, Kristen sings and plays the bodhran (an Irish frame drum), and sells merchandise for the Rat Extravaganza Show at the Sterling Renaissance Festival in Sterling, New York. She also loves Disney World. Kristen lives in Rochester, New York with her two cats.
