David French sang in the Auburn University Chorus, and earned a degree in computer engineering. He works at SAIC in Huntsville and designs trainers and simulators for Army Aviation. His work takes him all over the country, and occasionally out of it!
David has sung extensively since college. David sang in Huntsville with Dr. Sneed in the UAH Concert Choir, Alumni and Friends Chorus and traveled twice to Europe with them. In church, David has soloed extensively, sung in the choir and played handbells.
David has performed with NAVE in Orlando, Dallas, and most recently in New York at Carnegie Hall. He has performed in operas, musicals, and plays with the Huntsville Opera Theater, Theatre Huntsville, Huntsville Community Chorus and Huntsville Community Chorus Chamber Chorale,Theatre Round the Corner, and Opera South. Some of his favorite roles have included Bass solos in Handel’s Messiah and Orff’s Carmina Burana, the Baker in Into The Woods, and Smudge in Forever Plaid.
David can also be found backstage, designing and running sound for productions, and directing as well!
David enjoys hiking, bicycling, cooking, and woodworking. He has three wonderful young sons who enjoy nightly lullabies from a daddy who has sung professionally.
